Khalil Law Firm (“the Firm,” “we,” “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of visitors to khalillawfirm.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Site only and does not extend to information exchanged in the course of an engagement, which is governed separately by attorney-client confidentiality and any applicable engagement letter.
Information we collect
The Site is primarily informational. We do not operate contact forms, account registration or e-commerce features that collect personal data automatically. We may collect information in the following ways:
- Information you provide directly. If you contact us by telephone, email (including via the mailto links on this Site) or in person, we receive whatever information you choose to share — typically your name, contact details and the substance of your enquiry.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting and content-delivery infrastructure automatically logs standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited and timestamps, for security and performance purposes.
- Aggregate analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall traffic to the Site, such as which pages are visited and how the Site performs. This service is privacy-friendly by design: it does not use cookies or any persistent identifier, and it does not track you across other websites.
- Language preference. If you select a language other than English, we store that preference in your browser’s local storage and in a cookie (
googtrans) so the Site can display Google’s automated translation on your next visit.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Site uses a limited number of cookies and browser storage items, none of which are used for advertising or cross-site tracking:
- A first-party cookie and local storage entry that remember your selected display language, and that remember your cookie preference so we don’t ask again on every visit.
- Cookies set by Google’s translation service when a non-English language is selected. These are controlled by Google, not by us — see “Third-party services” below.
- Cookies set by Google Maps on our Contact page — but only once you actively choose to load the map. Until you do, no map cookies are set.
When you first visit the Site, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Declining, or simply not loading the map on our Contact page, means those cookies are never set. You can also control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may prevent the map or translation features from working correctly but will not affect your ability to read the rest of the Site.
How we use information
- To respond to enquiries you send us and to communicate about a potential or existing engagement.
- To operate, secure, maintain and improve the Site.
- To remember your language preference and display the Site correctly.
- To comply with applicable legal, regulatory and professional obligations.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not use information submitted through the Site for unrelated marketing purposes.
Third-party services
Certain features on the Site are provided by third parties, who process data under their own privacy policies:
- Google Maps — embedded on our Contact page to display our office location.
- Google Translate — used to provide automated translation of Site content into the language you select.

How we protect information
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information from unauthorized access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Information shared with us in connection with a legal matter is additionally protected by attorney-client privilege and our professional duty of confidentiality as members of the Beirut Bar.
Data retention
Information you send us in connection with an enquiry or engagement is retained for as long as necessary to respond to you, to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, and to comply with our legal, regulatory and professional record-keeping obligations.
Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. This includes rights available under Lebanese Law No. 81/2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data, and, where applicable to visitors from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, under the General Data Protection Regulation. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for a professional audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
