Pro Bono Representation
Access to justice is part of our responsibility.
At Khalil Law Firm, we believe that the practice of law carries a responsibility that extends beyond our work for paying clients. Pro bono representation has long been an integral part of the Firm’s commitment to justice and to the community.
Throughout its history, the Firm has undertaken numerous cases on a pro bono basis, providing legal advice, defence and representation without legal fees where the circumstances warranted the Firm’s intervention and where access to effective legal representation might otherwise have been limited.
Our pro bono work has included significant and sensitive matters, some of which have attracted substantial media attention and public scrutiny. The prominence of a case, however, does not determine our commitment. Our principle remains the same: access to strong and effective legal representation should not depend solely on a person’s financial means.
The Firm brings the same rigour, preparation and personal commitment to its pro bono matters as it does to every mandate entrusted to it. When we choose to act, we assume that responsibility fully and stand beside those we represent in the protection of their rights.
Through its pro bono work, Khalil Law Firm seeks to contribute meaningfully to access to justice, the protection of fundamental rights and the rule of law in Lebanon.
For us, pro bono work is not a matter of publicity. It is part of our responsibility as lawyers.
